ABO Wind plans and constructs wind farms in Germany, France, Spain, Ireland, the UK, Argentinia, Belgium and Bulgaria. Some of the projects are bought by the operating company ABO Invest AG, in which ABO Wind is a minority shareholder. The majority of shares are owned by several hundred investors that have subscribed to the citizen's wind energy share. With an investment of 2,500 Euros or more, they have become shareholders in an international portfolio of wind energy projects.
 
ABO Wind initiates wind farm projects, acquires site locations, organizes all technical and business planning, arranges international bank financing and delivers turnkey wind farms. Up until now, ABO Wind has connected several hundred wind energy sites to power grids with a total capacity of 550 megawatts. In the smaller bioenergy sector, biogas plants are planned and built.

After commissioning, ABO Wind takes on the commercial and technical management of most wind farms and biogas plants, also on behalf of international operators.

ABO Wind is contracted to manage around 550 megawatts of wind energy projects, 90 MW of which are located in France, 50 MW in Ireland and 7.5 MW in the United Kingdom. ABO Wind also develops repowering concepts in order to utilize tried and tested sites more effectively.

ABO Wind develops individual structured financing solutions and acquires projects at all stages of development. For some projects financing is obtained within the context of larger portfolios. In this way, projects are not only accelerated but usually also gain in value.
