Different components need different blasting media
On- and offshore wind turbines are assembled from a range of components made of different materials. Different blasting media are needed to achieve the right surface preparation for each component, achieving lasting use, highest safety standards and maximum conservation of value. In offshore turbines in particular, high performance corrosion protection must begin right at the manufacturing stage of the various components. Many components have to be sandblasted before the coating system can be applied.
