  • Description

As a European technology leader for lift and shift equipment and drive engineering, Pfaff-silberblau offers specially designed products and ingenious solutions for onshore and offshore wind turbines.

Lifting loads comfortably

Proven lifting gear from Pfaff-silberblau is used for the maintenance of wind turbines. Their high-quality design and surface coating meet the highest standards in terms of weather resistance, corrosion protection and power-on time. E.g. Pfaff-silberblau supplies electrically driven Beta winches combined with a 180 ° pivoting crane for safely lifting loads such as repair equipment and material. Tensile loads and lifting heights may be easily adjusted to local conditions. The thermal motor overload protection and high-quality gear motors of the Pfaff-silberblau winch guarantee long and fault-free operation.

Cost-effective and safe

With its electro-mechanical brake systems for wind turbines, the Pfaff-silberblau Drive Engineering division ensures that rotor blades are reliably and efficiently brought to a standstill during maintenance work. The steplessly adjustable clamping force of up to 25 kN is generated by an electrical drive based on a standard linear drive – e.g. the Pfaff-silberblau CLA or ALSR series – and in the braking position holds the applied breaking force without the use of energy by means of the self-locking linear drive. Loss of breaking force or impurities caused by hydraulic oil are excluded with this electro-mechanical solution. With its high-capacity linear drives Pfaff-silberblau guarantees the highest level of safety and efficiency.

Certified quality

All applicable products and solutions from Pfaff-silberblau are certified for use in wind turbines in on- and offshore wind farms. The Drive Engineering division also has products for special requirements in potentially explosive areas, such as drilling platforms and oil refineries. These include ATEX-compliant spindle lifting elements and manual and electronic winches.
