ELIN Motoren GmbH is an Austrian manufacturer widn turbine generators with a power range between 750 kW and currently 6,000 kW, including conventional but also double fed asynchronous induction generators and high speed synchronous generators with electrical but also permanent magnet excitation. At the brand-new ELIN factory in Austria system tests (generator + converter) of up to 5 MW can be performed. In terms of cooling, ELIN has long term experience with water jacket cooled designs, air-water and also air-air cooling systems. ELIN Motoren has already set up a manufacturing facility in India, in conjunction with turbine supplier Suzlon, and also supports its global customers in case local generator supply is required in the main markets. Since the mid 1980s the Austrian ELIN factory has supplied more than 8,000 generators for wind farms all over the world (excluding joint ventures and/or license productions).
