  • Description

Wind becomes power and ideas become reality.

With forward-looking products and over 1,000 wind turbines under its management, ENERTRAG is one of the market leaders in the wind industry.

ENERTRAG generates power from wind and other renewable energies. The company plans, finances, operates and maintains power plants. With its own R&D endeavours, great depth of added value and the clear objective of integrating renewable energies into the energy system through the operation of a fully-fledged power plant, ENERTRAG has come to rank among the market leaders in the wind industry.

This innovative strength is not only expressed in the regional feed-in grid and the ENERTRAG hybrid power station, but is also reflected in the company’s products:

  • The ENERTRAG PowerSystem management software obtains structured knowledge about wind turbines
  • ENERTRAG Service’s maintenance strategy increases plant availability
  • he obstruction light system from ENERTRAG Systemtechnik increases local acceptance
  • Funds, bonds and participation rights from ENERTRAG EnergieInvest enable active participation in the successful development of wind power.

The company is headquartered in Uckermark in the German state of Brandenburg. It has branches in Saxony-Anhalt, Berlin, France and the UK. ENERTRAG also has a presence in Poland and Bulgaria.

In order to secure the servicing of its own turbines, and to provide manufacture-independent service on the market, ENERTRAG took over the management services of the wind turbine manufacturer DeWind. ENERTRAG Service GmbH was created as a result, and now looks after over 1,000 turbines with comprehensive coverage by service teams. In late 2008 ENERTRAG Service GmbH took over the wind service sector of SAG Erwin Peters GmbH. The service portfolio now covers all aspects of plant maintenance (services, inspection and repair) and is supplemented by special offers, such as for major part replacement.

ENERTRAG PowerSystem enables professional plant monitoring and availability analyses. This adaptive management software also offers professional database support for new challenges, such as marketing electricity.

ENERTRAG Systemtechnik supplies and installs LED obstruction lights for wind turbines. The emphasis is on customer-specific solutions with standard interfaces between the wind turbine and the lighting system. Efforts are constantly made to ensure that the systems work with emission levels kept as low as possible. Since 2007, the product range has included range-of-vision measurement. Currently ENERTRAG Systemtechnik is working on a radar-based system that will allow the needs-based use of obstruction lights.

For ongoing corporate development, ENERTRAG Energie-Invest GmbH offers various investment products that allow private investors to benefit from a meaningful and sustainable investment while playing an active part in environmental protection.

In addition to bond and participation rights, there are 18 closed-end wind power funds containing over 130 million euros of private investments for experience and expertise in design and procurement. As an issuer, ENERTRAG AG has been offering two corporate bonds with different terms and interest rates since November 2010.

ENERTRAG generates electricity from wind and other renewable sources. The company, with offices throughout Europe, plans, constructs, operates production plant and develops system technologies.

The ENERTRAG hybrid power plant

The task of a hybrid power plant is to match the intermittent nature of energy generation from renewable sources to the fluctuating consumption requirements of the consumers. This is achieved through an innovative combination of wind power, biogas and hydrogen derived from renewable energies, which acts as a storage medium and an energy source. The hybrid power plant therefore represents a milestone in the supply of filling stations and the fleets of vehicles that are supplied in turn. For the first time, ENERTRAG is combining wind power, biogas and hydrogen plants in one physical power station. This means that the hybrid power station is able to supply power as it is required, regardless of wind speeds.
