The FGW is a german public association with members of the whole renewable energy sector. Its origin lies within an engagement of the wind industry. The association was founded in 1985 as a "round table" for engineers in order to work out technical compromises. Hence developed especially two fields of activities which include all renewable energies: First the continuos development of technical guidelines and second the support and coordination of research projects. As a neutral and open platform the FGW offers an organizational frame for the effective interconnectivity of technial, economical and political aspects within the renewable energiy sector. In this context the FGW also presents the results of its work for the publicity.
