Manufacturer of small wind turbines with a range of capacity from 20, 50, 100 and 150 kW
Johannes Hübner Giessen GmbH are manufacturers of permanently excited synchronous generators for small wind turbines with an output of 100 W to 70 kW. The permanently excited generators have been specifically developed for small and medium-sized wind turbines. In order to achieve optimum start-up characteristics at low speed, generators have been designed with near-zero standstill torque which improves their energy yield. Further technical and performance data is available on www.huebner-giessen.com in the Products/Motors-Generators section. Advantages of the permanently excited synchronous generator series: - near-zero standstill torque, - good start-up characteristics, - no wearing parts apart from ball bearings, - long lifespan, - (very) high efficiency even under partial load, - suitable for resistance and short-circuit braking from full speed, - Weight/volume, high power density per kg, - robust. Application: - Feed-in via inverter (mains and isolated operation), - battery charging (via charge controller), - heating (heating resistors). The output voltage can be adapted to customer needs (e.g. to meet the needs of particular power converters). Using a permanently excited synchronous machine as a generator means that voltage can be generated from the slightest movement. The rotor is fitted with permanent magnets to ensure magnetic flux. The advantage of this special construction lies in its ability to ensure energy output over a wide range of speeds and its combination of long lifespan and high efficiency. Please note: Apart from synchronous generators for small wind turbines the company also offers solutions to control and monitor the rotary speed in larger wind turbines.
