With experience including over 1 GW in installed wind power capacity, KVN has established itself on the European market as a company specialising in the erection of wind turbines.
In the 90s, KVN started erecting wind turbines and initially restricted itself to the Osnabrück/Emsland region. As this sector developed, so too did our willingness to invest and our field of expertise. Ever since then KVN has provided its customers with mobile cranes and heavy load equipment for onshore projects in Germany and around Europe, and can look back at successful operations in Belgium, Denmark, France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Poland, Romania, Scotland, Sweden and Wales.
The foundation of the subsidiary company KVN Sud-Est Europe SRL with its headquarters in Timisoara in 2009 created the necessary conditions for serving the emerging Romanian market and being "on location" for future projects in Bulgaria, Serbia and Croatia.
As for larger vehicles, the KVN fleet currently offers a 1200 t telescopic crane LTM 11200-9.1, a 600 t crawler crane LR 1600 and a 500 t telescopic crane LTM 1500-8.1, which are manned by teams of efficient, experienced staff. Additional large cranes can be provided by qualified partner companies at short notice.
All KVN crane operators have had thorough training and proven their theoretical and practical knowledge in tests taken in close collaboration with the trade association. Constant training and guidance ensures a high level of occupational safety and environmental awareness among staff.
KVN - a company in the Heiner Brinkhege corporate group - has been a member of the German WindEnergy Association (BWE) for many years and also actively promotes the industry's interests as a constituent member of the "Wind power" committee of the German Federal Working Group Heavy Haulage and Crane Work (BSK)
