LINAK delivers complete, expandable and flexible actuator systems for various applications located in a wind turbine. In a wind turbine, several areas can be automated to increase the efficiency of the wind turbine, to improve ergonomics or to reduce turbine weight by replacing existing more complex solutions. Due to the electronics located in the actuator and control box, monitoring functions are possible. Thus, an exact evaluation of disruptions and error messages is possible, allowing effective and cost-efficient service. From an environmental and economic point of view, it makes sense to install electrical actuator solutions in a wind turbine, not least because electricity is a clean and safe form of energy. Another advantage is that LINAK actuators consume less energy than pneumatic and hydraulic systems. In contrast to hydraulic systems, electrical actuator systems cannot leak any hydraulic fluids, which largely eliminates the possibility of machine room contamination or the outbreak of fire. Hydraulic and pneumatic systems must continuously be kept in operating mode. In comparison, electrical actuators do not need a compressor, thus less energy is consumed.
