The company Schraubtechnik Peter Neef was founded in 1984 by Peter Neef. To begin with, the idea was to develop standard torque multipliers into precision torque electric wrenches, in order to be able to fill the gap between hand-operated multipliers and hydraulic wrenches. The result was the introduction of the first ever precision torque electric wrench of up to 6.000 Nm. This major market success provided further impetus to the company to continue with its innovative approach. Numerous patents and unique torque wrenches have resulted from these efforts. Today LÖSOMAT – Schraubtechnik Neef GmbH is a member of the GEDORE Group and a high-tech centre for innovative product developments and individual solutions in the bolt technology sector.
