Areva Wind GmbH  relies on cables, leads and accessories from Lapp Group for its M5000 turbines in the "Alpha Ventus" offshore wind farm. The ÖLFLEX® 440 CP is used in particularly sensitive areas of the wind power plant. This control cable and machine supply cable is halogen-free, UV-resistant, cold-resistant, weatherproof and oil-resistant. To achieve this, the cable has three levels of protection: a TPE (thermoplastic polyester elastomer) inner sheath covers the stranded cores, over this is a copper braid made up of copper wires, and the outer sheath consists of a special polyurethane.
