The network agency windcomm schleswig-holstein is a project of Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft Nordfriesland. The economic development agency of Rendsburg-Eckernförde district and the Development Company Brunsbüttel (egeb) are project partners. windcomm co-operates with numerous institutions in Schleswig-Holstein, including the research network CEWind, the Schleswig-Holstein Investment Bank, the Business Development and Technology Transfer Corporation of Schleswig-Holstein (WTSH), Messe Husum and the Education Centre for Renewable Energies (BZEE). windcomm schleswig-holstein is funded by the state of Schleswig-Holstein and by the European Fund for Regional Development (EFRE). There are plans to establish a formal association to ensure the network is sustainable, which will be open to all Schleswig-Holstein-based companies. windcomm brings together regional competencies in the wind energy sector and coordinates activities. We support the regional economy and offer a strong network which serves to strengthen our position regionally and internationally. Our key fields of activity: Offshore wind: We seek to ensure that the existing potential for offshore wind is actually used and that this is of benefit to Schleswig-Holstein and the companies working here. Repowering: We aim to avoid conflicts by including all relevant stakeholders in the debate and develop appropriate strategies. Export: We provide support to local companies in the export market and establish contacts to projects in other countries and potential business partners. Our services: windcomm workshops and windcommunity meetings, visits to congresses and trade fairs, joint exhibition stands and trade missions.
